The Clinical Challenge

Chronic wounds don't stall by accident.

Non-healing wounds enter a pathological cycle driven by three compounding barriers: biofilm formation, chronic exudate accumulation, and tissue hypoxia. Each reinforces the others.
Biofilm creates a diffusion barrier that resists both systemic antibiotics and topical treatments. Exudate removes growth factors and exposes fragile granulation tissue to proteolytic degradation.
Hypoxia — tissue oxygen tension below 20 mmHg — impairs fibroblast function, collagen synthesis, and the oxygen-dependent killing mechanisms that protect against re-infection. Standard NPWT cannot resolve this alone.
